Royal Fidelity Merchant Bank & Trust in association with the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development present the 2nd annual “Royal Fidelity National Distinguished Teachers Awards”. This community initiative is an annual programme to recognize and reward ten exceptional teaching professionals who can be nominated by the general public. Along with the title, the winning teachers will each receive BDS $2,000.

Newly appointed Managing Director of Royal Fidelity, Archie Cuke, said he is delighted that Royal Fidelity introduced Royal Fidelity National Distinguished Teachers Awards to Barbados in 2011 and is confident that the 2012 competition will be even more successful than last year. He also encouraged all Barbadians to nominate their favourite teacher for the award.

This year the teachers are not the only ones who stand to benefit from cash prizes; the nominators can also win cash prizes, with up to 40 prizes of $100 each for the two months that nominations are open. Moreover, for the teachers, there are also further prizes totalling $1,500 in Super Centre vouchers for what the judges deem as the three most sincere nomination submissions – Like our FB page: http://on.fb.me/KvvCoA

In pledging the Group’s support for the programme, Neal & Massy’s Country Manager, Barbados, Mr. Frere Delmas stated that Neal & Massy/BS&T was delighted to support Royal Fidelity and the teachers of Barbados in this initiative: “Education is the cornerstone of our development as a nation, and so recognizing teachers who do their job well is an important cog in the wheel for social transformation in Barbados
