Marcia Amanda James 26 year old Guyanese national, was arrested and charged for the following offences.

01. Possession a controlled drug – Cocaine.

02. Trafficking.

03. Possession with intent to supply.

04. Importation.

FACTS

About 4:10 pm, Marcia James arrived by air from Guyana; she arrived in the island on May 3, 2012, and was charged on May 8, 2012. When James was intercepted, a subsequent search disclosed 2 packages of cocaine inserted in her vagina and 1 was found hidden in a sanitary napkin. The Guyanese later passed 24 packages of cocaine which she had swallowed. She had 27 packages in total to a weight of 3 lbs.

Marcia James appeared May 9th at the District A Magistrate Court, she was remanded until Friday 11th May, to reappear at the District B Court.
