Royal #Barbados #Police Force on Patrol: #Drugs/Firearms seizures, #arrests


Antonio Renaldo Brathwaite, 29 years of Rock Field, St Lucy was arrested and charged by members of the Drug Squad for the following offences:

01. Possession a controlled drug to wit cannabis.

02. Trafficking.

03. Possession with intent to supply.

04. Importation.

On Friday April 20, 2011, the drug was discovered in four (4) boxes of cereal at the St. Lucy Post Office. An investigation was conducted which led to the arrest of Brathwaite.

On Saturday April 21, 2012, Brathwaite appeared at the District A Magistrate Court and was granted bail to reappear at the Holetown Magistrate Court on May 07, 2012.


Members of the Drug Squad conducted an operation in a field Searles, Christ Church, which led to the discovery and seizure of 62 growing cannabis plants. No arrests.


Emile Bernard Williams, 35 years of Elizabeth Park, Christ Church was arrested and charged for the following offences:

1. Illegal possession of four (4) firearms,
2. Illegal possession of a quantity of assorted ammunition
3. Illegal importation of firearms, and
4. Illegal importation of ammunition.

On Thursday April 19, 2012, four firearms (one AK 47 rifle, one .38 revolver, two .40 pistols), and 103 rounds of assorted ammunition, were discovered hidden in a television set imported by air freight. Investigations by members of the Drug Squad led to the arrest of Williams.

Emile Williams is expected to appear at Magistrate Court on Monday April 23, 2012.
