After 16 years of working to help others, seldom thinking of themselves, a number of volunteers with Cancer Support Services (CSS) were rewarded and thanked for their hard work.

In an awards ceremony, the members of the organisation recognised the founding members and members of the Board of Trustees who have been with the CSS from the inception and those who have given yeoman service to numerous persons, who were in need of care, through this organisation.

President Anne-Marie Jordan, in her welcome remarks, thanked all of those founding members for their outstanding contributions and their service to the organisation and getting CSS to the stage at which it now stood.

The highlight of the evening was the presentation of over 30 Certificates of Appreciation and 26 Long Service Awards to Founding members, Trustees and those who have given outstanding service.

The ‘Journey of the CSS’ was presented in a most entertaining way through a dramatic production from Shelliane Bourne with a self penned piece which she ably delivered in an impactful presentation. Attendees were also treated to a slide presentation showing some of the origins and the early days of the CSS.

The evening culminated in 2 solos from MC Antoine Williams who, in excellent tenor voice, sang ‘Walk On’ and ‘My Way
