Virgin Atlantic Barbados earns Best of Show – ADDY Awards #barbados #virginatlantic #addy #contest #awards #competition #advertising

Red advertising&marketing Ltd. delighted its client, Virgin Atlantic, when it was awarded the coveted “Best of Show for Overall Excellence” at the 2012 American Advertising Federation’s ADDY Awards in addition to winning eight Gold and two Silver ADDY Awards for their work on the Virgin Atlantic brand.

The Judges, who included the US National ADDY Committee Chairman, Stephen Rogers, awarded the top award for overall excellence to Red for their “Body of Work” on Virgin Atlantic specifying that the “concepts, copy, art direction and executions were excellent and consistent”.

Best of Show! Virgin Atlantic’s award winning team of Tracey Garcia, Co-Creative Director, Red Advertising; Beverley Layne, Marketing Coordinator – Caribbean, Virgin Atlantic Limited; Virgin’s Regional Sales & Marketing Manager Rachel Pilgrim and Robert MacGeoch, Head of Account Management, Red Advertising, showcase some of their winning campaign material.

Within the individual awards, the “Rolling to Cuba” campaign for the Cuban travel market and the Prince William Royal Wedding congratulations “Give us a Ring” were particularly strong. These were complimented by wins on “India Calling”, “Win a Pair of Red Stilettos” Miss World Promotion, “Heads Up” Group discounts and “Nanny MacPhee” Programme Ad.

Jevan Jutagir, Managing Director of Red, commented on the awards;- “What a wonderful accolade to win for our client Virgin Atlantic! To have your entire body of work on that client judged Best of Show is extremely humbling. It is very rare for a body of work to be given the award rather than a single entry, this reflects extremely positively on the agencies ability to deliver award winning creative time after time. The ADDY awards is the creative award show of the American Advertising Federation (AAF) of which the Caribbean Advertising Federation (CAF) is a member. The awards are 3 tiered with local shows and awards which feed into regional shows (the CAF is part of the 4th District region which includes Florida, The Caribbean and Puerto Rico) which in turn feed into a National show.
