URGENT – Repairs being conducted by the Barbados Water Authority: East Coast (St Joseph) & South Coast (St Lawrence Gap)

The Barbados Water Authority informs the public as of Wednesday 14th March, repairs were effected in the following districts;

• a 10-inch burst main in Tent Bay, St. Joseph creating low pressure or water outages to customers in a number of St. Andrew and St. Joseph areas and

• a 4-inch burst main in Rendezvous High Ridge, Christ Church which impacted on residents of the immediate surroundings only.

Water tankers were sent to assist customers who were affected while work was performed

The Barbados Water Authority wishes to inform the public that it will be carrying out repairs to a 7-inch burst main on Highway 7 on Thursday 15th March between 10 a.m and 4 p.m.

Again the BWA will be conducting repair work to a burst on Highway 7 on Thursday, March 15th between 10 a.m and 4 p.m. Please be guided accordingly. The Authority apologises for the inconvenience and thanks you for your cooperation.

Motorists who normally travel along Highway 7 are advised to use an alternate route if possible and avoid the area during these hours.

This emergency work will cause water outages to residents and businesses on the right side of Highway 7, between its junction with Rendezvous Road and St. Lawrence Gap heading East towards Oistins. Water tankers will be dispatched to service the affected customers during this period.
