A Day in a Bajan Life – Errol Barrow Centre for Creative Imagination: EU Film Festival, Tues. 13 March 2012

Sea Weaver Productions, Producer Penelope Hynam, is pleased to announce the completion of our latest film series, A Day in a Bajan Life, premiering during the European Union Film Festival March 13-19, 2012, free to the public.

The series will be launched at the Tuesday, March 13th screening of the European Union film festival at the EBCCI Theatre, UWI Campus, at 6:30 pm. The Director and Producer will be available for questions and all are invited.

A Day in a Bajan Life is a series of cinematic short 15 min. portraits of ordinary and unique Barbadians, directed and shot by acclaimed Swedish filmmaker Pelle Hybbinette, an adopted Bajan.

The series highlights the beautiful variety and contrast of this “paradise” island, from black to white, rich to poor, famous to unknown, affectionate portraits offering a rich mosaic of island life and society.

Two key words throughout are the dreams and ambitions of the subjects. There are ten portraits of a kaleidoscope of Bajan peoples…
