Set to open in Santo Domingo on 2 February, the Caribbean Series matches the winning teams from Mexico, Venezuela, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.
The 2012 series will carry a special dedication to Dominican ball players who played in the Major League Baseball World Series – Albert Pujols, Rafael Furcal and Octavio Dotel playing for the champions St. Louis Cardinals, and Nelson Cruz, Adrian Beltre, Esteban German, Neftali Feliz and Alexis Ogando for the Texas Rangers.
The Caribbean Baseball Series will take place in Santo Domingo from 2-7 February 2012. The games will be played at the Quisqueya Ball Park. This is the 53rd year of the tournament that brings together the best of Mexico, Venezuela, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.
