  • Secretariat (Disney) – Penny Chenery (Diane Lane) is a brave housewife who is forced to take over her ailing father’s horse-barn, though she has no experience in equestrianism. Nevertheless, with the help of veteran coach Lucien Laurin (John Malkovich), Penny learns to thrive in her new, male-dominated environment, even breaking records along the way.   • Tamara Drewe (Ruby Films, BBC Films) – Tamara (Gemma Arterton) is a young columnist who returns to her countryside hometown from the big city. As her childhood home is being prepped for sale, the now-glamorous Tamara awaken feelings in old flames. Directed by: Stephen Frears.
  • Due Date (Warner Bros. Pictures) – When father-to-be Peter Highman (Robert Downey Jr.) is forced to abandon an important flight from Atlanta to Los Angeles, he winds up hitching a cross-country ride with the crazy Ethan Tremblay(Zach Galifianakis), an aspiring actor who promises to get Highman home in time for the birth of his baby.
