Villages USA challenge Barbados in the Plaza Lincoln Mercury IPW eight goal

The polo squads of The Villages and Barbados battled it out in the Plaza Lincoln Mercury eight goal cup tournament that stood as a highlight in the series!

" -- In the fourth in final chukka of the match, the Barbados team mounted a comeback as Philip Tempro put two in for his team, putting them within a goal of The Villages..."

In the first chukka of the match The Village Polo Team began the match with a one goal handicap and would leave the fist chukka of play tied with the Barbados Polo team as they struck first on field goals as Philip Tempro scored with eleven seconds left in the first for the Barbados Polo team.

In the ensuing chukka of play, it would be teammates Marc Atwell and Harry Manning who each scored in the second, thus putting the Barbados team ahead.

For The Villages team they saw some action from 3rd Chukka, the goalie Nick Ofuni who scored for his team, making the score at the half three to two with the Barbados Polo team leading.

In the second half of play action, The Villages polo team came back as they saw Nick Ofuni explode for three goals in the match, getting one on a penalty two, while the Barbados team went scoreless in the chukka.

In the fourth in final chukka of the match, the Barbados team mounted a comeback as Philip Tempro put two in for his team, putting them within a goal of The Villages.

However they would come up just short as Paige Boone scored for The Villages, solidifying their lead and ultimately allowing them to hold on and win the match, by a score of seven to five over the Barbados Polo Team at the Villages Polo Club.
