Lime Pelican Football Challenge – Audience Prize: Simpson Motors’ Drive-Free Finalists Chosen

When the finals of the Lime Pelican Football Challenge kicks off at Kensington Oval on Independence Day, the drama will include much more than a battle for football supremacy. This is because the ten finalists of the Simpson Motors Drive-Free promotion have been chosen, and three of them will drive away a Suzuki vehicle free for one month.

"...if their key does work, that fully insured Suzuki Celerio, Swift or SX4 will be theirs for one month, along with $300 in petrol..."

This was stated by Simpson Motors’ Marketing Manager, Kevin Beckles, immediately after the draw for the finalists took place at the company’s showroom in Warrens.

Beckles explained that the promotion was designed to have an element of drama befitting the finals of a major tournament. “During the intermission, immediately before the championship game, each of the 10 finalists will be given a key, three of which can open the door of one of the Suzuki’s. That’s where the fun begins: not knowing if their key will work or not, and in front of a full Kensington Oval! But if their key does work, that fully insured Suzuki Celerio, Swift or SX4 will be theirs for one month, along with $300 in petrol.”

The finalists are Marlon Agard of Station Hill, St. Michael; Andre Blades of St. Martins, St. Philip; Ian Clarke of Rendezvous, Christ Church; David Gaskin of Combermere Street, St. Michael; Winslow Harewood of Lodge Road, Christ Church; Reginald Kirton of My Lord’s Hill, St. Michael; Keisha Mayers of Constant Land, St. George; Christopher Neal of Kirtons, St. Philip; Carlisle Tull of Country Road, St. Michael; and Alonza Williams of Britton’s Hill, St. Michael.

The finals of the Lime Pelican Football Challenge takes place at Kensington Oval, on November 30th. The championship match sees Nu Look G-Force 360 Connection battling Jose y Jose Bajan Pride Ballers; while the third place playoff is between Broad Street Men’s & Women’s Red Tridents and Phoenix UFO Toyota Firehouse. Gates will open at 3:00pm with DJ music and refreshments until kick-off of the first game at 5:00pm. The after party will continue until 1:00 am.
