World renowned architect and interior designer Mr. Peter Inston recently dropped in at the Gallery of Caribbean Art in Speightstown for a private viewing of the Stephen R. Smith photography exhibition Out Of My Mind.
The exhibition features an eclectic collection of fine art photography depicting dreamy land and seascapes, moonlit scenes, dramatic images of nature, and revealing images of chattel houses.

The Gallery has been reporting very heavy traffic for the show, which has been described as ground-breaking and beautiful. When asked for his comments on the show Mr. Inston revealed that he had heard of the show from a British-based client who owns a home here in Barbados.
‘I first saw some of his work at Lady Carol’s home some time ago and remarked at the beautiful black and white images, so when I heard of the show I was keen to see it. I must admit that it is even more beautiful than I ever expected it to be. This is a world-class show of very high quality and unusual beauty. It is the sort of international standard I would expect to see at a top London Gallery, for example. I like what he has done with the chattel houses, it is very clever and original, and the framing is particularly well done, matching each art piece exactly.’
