UK Minister of State for International Development Visits Barbados: CDB Alternate governor opens DFID Caribbean’s new offices
Alan Duncan, UK development minister, took advantage of a one day visit to Barbados to officially open the new offices of DFID Caribbean which is now co-located with the British High Commission in Collymore Rock.
Mr Duncan also met representatives from the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre, the IMF Caribbean Regional Technical Assistance Centre (CARTAC) and the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB).

In February 2011 the Secretary of State for International Development, Andrew Mitchell, announced the allocation of £75 million for the Caribbean (2011-15), as part of the review of UK aid. DFID’s assistance to the Caribbean focuses on wealth creation, governance and security and climate change
