The Barbados Water Authority carrying out work in its distribution network – October 25th, 2011

The BWA informs the public that today Tuesday, October 25th it is carrying out repairs to

• a 4-inch burst main in 9th Ave., Durants Village, St. James which is affecting the immediate surrounding area including a section of Appleby Gardens.

The Authority is also experiencing pump problems at its St. Stephen’s facility which is affecting residents in Spooner’s Hill, Grazettes and the immediate surrounding districts. The Authority is presently making adjustments to the distribution network in this area to reduce the impact on the affected customers.

BWA also pledges to endeavour to service residents of the affected areas by water tanker in the interim.

The BWA wishes to inform residents of Forty Acres, Bridgefield, Shop Hill, Shop Hill Village, Christie Village, Rock Hall, Edgehill and the surrounding areas that they will experience outages tonight, October 25th between 11:00 o’clock and 4:00 o’clock Wednesday morning as the Authority works on valves in the area.
