Four remanded until November for attacking Constables – Beware of messing with Royal Barbados Police Force
I am now beginning to wonder if I got off light over the weekend as I was merely viewing the scene of an accident? Here’s some data on dudes who were a little too rough with officers…
- FACTS: On Thursday 29th September 2011 Constables 653 McClean, 1593 Bryan and 1993 Armstrong responded to a report at Encore Store located at City Mall, Roebuck Street, St. Michael. On arrival, Con McClean on making inquiries made an attempt to arrest a Matthew Harris. When he did this, John Ross Edey, Shawn Crichlow and Darwin Agard attacked Con McClean. On seeing this, Constables Bryan and Armstrong intervened and on doing so, Con Bryan and Con Armstrong were also attacked. All three of the constables’ shirts were damaged along with a pair of spectacles belonging to Con McClean.
Matthew Harris, John Ross Edey, Shawn Crichlow and Darwin Agard appeared at the District A Magistrate Court today Tuesday October 4th 2011, and they were remanded to reappear on 1st November 2011
As a consequence, the following charges were preferred against the individuals:

• Darwin Leroy Agard, 25 years of Pelican Drive, St. Martins, St. Philip
• John Ross Junior Edey, 29 years of Pelican Drive, St. Martins, St. Philip
- WOUNDING
• Shawn Omar Crichlow, 27 years of St. Martin’s Terrace, St. Philip
• Matthew Jefferson Harris, 23 years of Lot 3A Cane Garden, St. Philip
- CRIMINAL DAMAGE
1. Shawn Omar Crichlow, 27 years of St. Martin’s Terrace, St. Philip
2. John Ross Junior Edey, 29 years of Pelican Drive, St. Martins, St. Philip
3. Matthew Jefferson Harris, 23 years of Lot 3A Cane Garden, St. Philip (2 COUNTS)
- VIOLENT DISORDER
1. Matthew Harris,23 years of Lot 3A Cane Garden, St. Philip,
2. Shawn Omar Crichlow, 27 years of St. Martin’s Terrace, St. Philip,
3. John Ross Junior Edey, 29 years of Pelican Drive, St. Martins, St. Philip and
4. Darwin Leroy Agard, 25 years of Pelican Drive, St. Martins, St. Philip used unlawful violence towards Thursdon McClean, Patrina Bryan and Sadrian Armstrong.
- ASSAULTING POLICE OFFICER IN THE EXECUTION OF HIS DUTIES
John Ross Junior Edey, 29 years of Pelican Drive, St. Martins, St. Philip that he on the 29th day of September assaulted Thursdon McClean, Police Constable # 653 a member of the Royal Police Force in the execution of his duties.
- RESISTING ARREST
Matthew Jefferson Harris, 23 years of Lot 3A Cane Garden, St. Philip that he on the 29th day of September 2011 resisted Thursdon McClean Police Constable # 653 a member of the R.B.P.F in the execution of his duties.

COURT RESULTS
The four (4) persons appeared at the District A Magistrate Court today Tuesday October 4th 2011, and they were remanded to reappear on November 1st 2011.
