When you look for Chinese food on the south coast and overstay? You may be taken to the cleaners!

{CLICK FOR BIGGER - READ CAREFULLY} Abandon hope all ye who Park here?

One night we were heading for a popular calypso tent during the height of Crop Over and got stunned by reading this beauty of a Notice… $50.00 an hour? Is this legal? So Bajan Reporter spoke with  an official who deals with vehicles constantly and is accustomed to mediatiating for disputes concerning Real Estate – the source told us since the property belongs to the owner, they are taking steps however strict, to ensure their vailable land is not abused by motorists looking for a quick point to shunt their vehicles while they attend matters which can be very lengthy…

I guess it worked but it can backfire too, since I am hesitant to park there even on legitimate business – when I finish having a meal and it is with friends and i may not leave immediately, so what happens? I am billed for occupying a chair for another potential customer? I don’t wanna find out (That is not as far-fetched as one would think, when Barbecue Barn in Rockley was beginning years ago I told Assad Haloute how the chairs were very uncomfortable and his reply was that he’s glad to learn that as patrons will eat & go – meaning more customers, what a way to make money… Unfortunately, many Bajans subscribe to this – but my times at that same Barbecue Barn are few and far between)!

  1. Well I guess the point here was to discourage people from parking altogether, hence the high price. I doubt they would charge customer going to the restaurant for parking. I guess u could find out about the extra time sitting by paying them a visit , the food is nice.

  2. 0_o Wow, make sure you go, eat and leave right away LOL
