Trinis burst Bajan Crop Over – REDjeTT opens way for people to fly again! (B’dos Tourism Minister breaks Cabinet meeting)

Back in 2007 there was no Re-Discover the Caribbean from Peach & Quiet’s Adrian Loveridge, WHY? Intra-Regional travel was so exorbitant there was no point in hosting an event where no one could afford to see their sister isles as it was cheaper to go further afield…

(L to R) David Rice - President of the B'dos Tourism Authority; Hugh Foster - Consultant in the Ministry of Tourism {B'dos}; Ian Burns - CEO of REDjet & Emmanuel Baah - Mktg. Mgr. of Trinidad's Airport Authority

The Peach & Quiet owner sought to make visiting Barbados not so prohibitive, but now thanks to clever initiative from young Robbie Burns, West Indians can start their own regional Integration once more! The fact that a DLP Minister broke their Cabinet session to be on hand when REDjet officially graced Port Of Spain airways was a compliment of an extreme order, since Cabinet is mandatory for Bajan MP’s!

Please check our “Tourism” segment to learn how the flight was… One thing for sure, on the way back to Barbados? The flight had 5 empty seats if so much and the huge majority of passengers on board were Trinidadians here for Kadooment, Rihanna’s “LOUD” concert or both!
