Assisting children of school age is their primary focus and the The Back To School program is one such entity which The trust is pleased to have had the support of corporate Barbados to continue since it’s inception in 1996.

The provision of books, uniforms, and school supplies is one aspect of this program, but as Mr. Dwayne Grazette, President of the Trust, notably pointed out there are other areas which attention has to be placed. “We are sure to assist those families identified with assistance towards their electricity and water bills as well, we make sure that there is food, so they are sure to have a balanced diet. Assistance can come in many forms as these are areas which we see as vital to the development of these children.

Treasurer of The Charity Ms June Smith noted “We’ve been doing this for a long time and we appreciate all the assistance we can get to allow us to help more people and assist in more neighborhoods and schools. In these economics times, there are many in need and with the assistance of corporate Barbados we can help to make it a little easier.”

The Eden Lodge Charitable Trust is focused on continuing their efforts to assist needy families across Barbados, and would like to extend a hearty THANK YOU to the continued support of Corporate Barbados; their valuable donations have made it possible and continue to support the future of Barbados.

Accepting the cheque from the charity, for school supplies, Ms Karen Austin, Managing Director of Days Book Stores noted, “we are pleased to have been a part of the program for the past 2 years and applauded the work of the charity.

She admired how they worked hard to provide for the needy because, “back to school preparation was not an easy one. Days Book Store supports the organisation and Barbados on a whole by keeping prices low to ensure all can afford.”
