Former Cricketer Named as Belize’s New Chief Justice

Justice Kenneth Benjamin, also is arriving under controversial circumstances similar to Bridgetown's choice or lack thereof, when Barbados' own Elliott Mottley, QC resigned swiftly after strained talks with Belmopan's PM, Dean Barrow

According to 7 News Belize? Kenneth A. Benjamin, is their new Chief Justice of Belize – at lest Belize made a choice and moved ahead, unlike Barbados.

Justice Benjamin’s judicial experience spans 17 years; he has worked as a Chief Magistrate in Antigua and Barbuda, former High Court Judge of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court and most recently as a Judge of the Criminal Division of the High Court of Saint Lucia.

The former Test bowler leaves that post to come to Belize, where the Guyanese/Antiguan will take up his post on September fifteenth.
