On Monday 25.07.2011 we are screening “The Duke of Bachata” by Adam Taub:
As Joan Soriano strives to make a success of his career, Taub follows the bachata musician with his camera. To fulfil his dream and to improve the lives of his extended family, Soriano leaves them behind in rural Dominican Republic. Creative Cinematography and images telling of the roots of a Musician of heart paint an endearing picture of the passion essential to Caribbean Music.

CEO of CaribbeanTales Worldwide Distribution and award winning filmmaker Frances-Anne Solomon says: “I likeThe Duke of Bachatafor its down to earth imagery which evokes the charm of rural Dominican Republic, away from the hustle and bustle of the tourism industry. Adam Taub was able to capture a part of Caribbean life and its beauty which does not usually appear in the eye of the public.”
