Digicel Challenges West Indies Cricket Fans with Trivia – Many Sexy Prizes up for Grabs!
While West Indies are up against India at the Queens Park Oval in Trinidad, Digicel is also gearing up to reward some loyal West Indies fans with great prizes throughout the entire series.
Fans listening to cricket on the radio or online at DigicelCricket.com via the Line and Length Network during the andDigicel Pearls T20 match, the five Digicel Pearls ODI matches and the Digicel test matches have the chance to win BlackBerry handsets and Digicel Cricket prize packs by entering the daily Digicel Trivia Chest. This fun competition is open to persons in the Digicel cricket countries (Anguilla, Antigua, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, St. Kitts, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Trinidad & Tobago) who text the correct answer to the trivia question. The winners will be announced at the end of the match or day’s play.
The Digicel Trivia Chest contest kicked off in St. Kitts at the last Digicel Test Match between West Indies and Pakistan. Noel Jumpp from Jamaica came away with a sleek Blackberry handset after texting the correct answer to the question, “Which West Indian scored his highest total ever in the first Test Series between West Indies and Pakistan and what was the score?” Jumpp’s answer of Sir Garfield Sobers, 365 earned him an entry into the draw.
Digicel Cricket’s website, DigicelCricket.com, will also be offering fans the opportunity to win BlackBerry prizes. The website will feature a trivia question on every match day. People who answer the question correctly will be entered into a random draw for one of the Digicel Cricket prize packs and the big prize drawing for a BlackBerry handset.
“These Digicel cricket competitions are just our way of saying thanks to West Indies fans for their support of the sport, and encouraging them to watch or listen to the games and visit the all encompassing DigicelCricket.com website,” said Karl Donnelly, Digicel Head of Group Sponsorship. “Our theme for the West Indies v. India Series 2011 is Wi’All In, and we want loyal Windies fans to be ‘all in’, not only with the West Indies team but also with these fun contests.”
