Barbados Labour Party hosts Zone Meeting for 3 ridings at the George Lamming Primary School, Bridge Road
This Sunday, June 5th, 2011 – the St. Michael South Central, The St. Michael East and St. Michael Central Branches of the Barbados Labour Party, will meet at the George Lamming Primary School, Bridge Road (near Welches Post Office) St. Michael at 4:00 p.m.
As would be expected, David Gill, Trevor Prescod and Arthur Holder will speak. Joining them will be Political Leader and Leader of the Opposition – The Rt. Hon. Owen S. Arthur, M.P,. and: The Hon. Mia Amor Mottley, Q.C., M.P.,
Perhaps you are a member of the BLP but may not have been actively attending Branch and Public Meetings for some time! Perhaps you are not even a member of the BLP but that’s alright. We are listening and can hear you and want to continue to hear from you.
Perhaps you are wondering where is the ‘pathway to progress’ the government promised or – exactly how is the DLP transforming the society to meet your needs, as promised. Perhaps you are concerned about “bullying” in schools or about the fatted calf/family first doctrine now said to have taken over and influencing the policy of the RDC and the NHC. Could it be that you are concerned that, 2 years after an alleged incident, there is still not “fire arms policy” at Parliament?
If you have money in Clico but cannot get it; if you are also concerned about the high cost of living; land tax and petroleum prices or even the 60% water increase you now have to pay, perhaps you are concerned about the life threatening changes at the Drug Service Dr. William Duguid, M.D., warned about in 2009 or just plain concerned that houses built by or for the NHC – remain shut. If you are or are equally as concerned about the direction in which your country is heading – then the meeting this Sunday is where you should be.
If you love Barbados and want it to succeed and also want to know if a Court Oder can be ignored by a Government – ‘pass this message on’ and bring as many people as you can to the Meeting at George Lamming Primary, this Sunday 5th June 2011!
