The Israeli Palestinian Crisis Exposed on Friday 27th May at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Conference Centre, 7:00 pm

Bajans are invited to attend the Panel Discussion – The Israeli Palestinian Crisis Exposed on Friday, May 27th at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Conference Centre from 7 p.m. This topic should be of immense interest to you especially in light of the recent reports of the death of Osama bin Laden. The purpose of the discussion is to bring a diverse range of perspectives on the issues surrounding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, thereby broadening the understanding of the people of Barbados on the complex mixture of religious fervor, territorial rivalry and geopolitical impact of this conflict.

Again, we invite you to attend the Panel Discussion and should you have any questions, comments or concerns please feel free to contact us islamisraelpanel@gmail.com or call Jennifer Blackman at 251-0459.

The discussion, which will be moderated by noted Socio-political analyst Peter Wickham, will be carried by speaker on Muslim Affairs, Sabir Nakhuda, Humanitarian Mons. Harcourt Blackett along with international speakers and authors Walid Shoebat and Joel Richardson.

Richardson’s profound understanding and analysis of the issues driving Middle Eastern politics and current events has led to the publication of several books, countless television and radio appearances and a hectic speaking schedule around the world. Former PLO terrorist Shoebat brings a unique understanding of the conflict in the Middle East as he has walked both sides of the fence.

On the local front, Nakhuda is well known for his writings on the Islamic faith and is frequently sought as a speaker on the subject, and Mons. Blackett, recognized as a humanitarian, has lived and worked in Africa and around the region bringing hope and a voice to people often overlooked.

Organisers of this event are Roberta Simpson, noted children’s author, and of Jewish descent, Marcia Jenkins, who leads Olive Tree Ministry, teaching people to understand the Bible from the perspective of its Hebrew roots and Alison Niccolls, a dedicated student of Biblical prophecy, who holds a keen interest in current events. They all agree that locally, many people seem interested in the conflict, but do not fully appreciate the intricacies of Middle Eastern culture and politics which are so closely tied to their faith.

Shoebat and Richardson will also discuss with the Christian church how events playing out within Israel and the Middle East relate to Biblical Prophecy, which we as a Christian nation should understand. They are therefore, enthusiastic to be a part of this discussion in the hope that people are made more aware.
