Kentucky Fried Chicken Launches New “Sogood” Slogan: Possibly to run Toe-To-Toe against “I’m Lovin’ It” on global scale

On Friday, June 3, 2011, Barbadians will be feeling “Sogood” as KFC, the number one destination for great-tasting food, embraces the new international slogan for the iconic global brand.

Sogood” is the first global tagline in the 70-year history of the KFC brand, and following its launch in the U.S.A, Canada and France in mid 2010, it continues to be brought to life around the globe, with Barbados being the first in the region to do so.

In celebration of “Sogood” day, KFC will be hosting a number of fun and exciting activities at its 13 restaurants across the island, along with offering a variety of individual and group meal specials.

Marketing Executive at KFC, Lisa Davis, said the launch of “Sogood” goes beyond a tagline or marketing campaign, stating it represents an evolution of all aspects of their business:

Sogood is better than great…we want to go from good to Sogood in the way we engage our customers, train our people, prepare our products, modernize our restaurants and elevate the entire KFC experience.”

Throughout the day patrons can look forward to being treated to a number of speciality items; KFC branded premiums from the all day “Bucket Dip”; plus have a chance, when spending $25 or more, to win “Sogood” prizes by spinning the KFC “Sogood” wheel, which will be visiting KFC restaurants throughout the day.

Additionally, KFC will be providing lunch on the day to the members of the three school teams they currently sponsor – KFC Combermere, KFC Ellerslie, and KFC St. Stephens – which have flown the KFC flag high in recent years in the local secondary school’s basketball, cricket, and primary school’s football competitions respectively.

This “Sogood” day of activities also coincides with the recent launch of KFC’s Facebook page, where fans of KFC are being encouraged to log on and see what’s “Sogood” about KFC, and post their “Sogood” experiences.
