On Tuesday, May 24, 2011, Global Directories/Barbados Yellow Pages will be hosting a free online marketing seminar at the Hilton entitled “Top Secrets to eMarketing Success”, where leading international experts in the areas of web-site development, search engine marketing, online video, and mobile marketing, among others will make a number of presentations on the need for companies to have a strong E-Marketing presence given the growing reliance by today’s consumer on electronic channels to find and choose goods and services.
Headlining the list of presenters will be Andrew Shotland, renowned specialist in local search optimization, small business marketing & search engine optimization (SEO) strategy.
Previously head of product and business development for Insider Pages, Shotland developed an SEO program that attracted over 3 million monthly unique visitors almost solely via SEO. He also held the position of General Manager of NBC.com, and was also responsible for the launch of Showtime Network’s first website.
Pam Roach, Marketing Manager of Global Directories/Barbados Yellow Pages, said the seminar is timely and important given the increasing focus on E-Commerce:
“More people are online today than ever before, and are using this medium to shop for their goods and service. As such, having an online presence in today’s environment is vital if companies are seeking to remain competitive and grow their market share.”
The three-hour seminar, which takes place from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, followed by lunch, is open to all business owners wishing to learn more about the benefits of online marketing and how this medium can assist them with growing their business.
