Barbados vs. Trinidad & Tobago: NACRA Men’s 15-a-side Rugby Championship – 2nd Round

The Trinidad men are the reigning Caribbean Champions, having defeated Guyana in the finals of the 2011 RWC qualifying tournament in Grand Cayman in 2008. Trinidad subsequently lost to Brazil in a home-and-away match format.

{FILE IMAGE: U-19's} This is the first time that Barbados will be playing Trinidad on home soil in 15-a-side rugby in over 20 years.

Trinidad is the highest-ranked Caribbean Men’s 15-a-side team at 45th in the world, while Barbados are 5th in the Caribbean at 72nd, behind Bermuda (52nd), Guyana (64th) and Cayman (66th).

Barbados last played Trinidad in 2005 in Guyana, defeating them on the way to winning the Caribbean Championships and qualifying for the next round of the RWC 2007 qualifying tournament against Canada and the USA.
