{FILE IMAGE} Maps showing the new boundaries and the position of gates are being prepared and will be available shortly.

Montserrat’s National Disaster Preparedness and Response Advisory Committee (NDPRAC) agreed the boundaries of Zone A and B can be revised.

According to a release from Government House NDPRAC met earlier this week to review Zone A and B boundaries following the recent publication of the SAC report.

The members agreed that the boundaries of these zones could be redefined and the entry gates moved to accomplish the changes. Work has now started to move the gates in these zones.

Zone A is now defined as all that area north and west of Zone B and north and west of Zone F. The main changes to zone A are as follows:

All that area north and west of a line running from a point commencing at the most westerly point of Old Road Bluff and running south-east of the junction of Redonda Circle and Old Towne Bluff Drive and then continuing south-east through to Saddleback Road and then continuing south of the junction of Bishop View Road and South Lime Kiln Road. Then unto South Lime Kiln Beach Road and continuing eastwards through Isles Bay Plantation and continuing eastwards to Upper Happy Hill, Lower Frith’s just south of the New Carmel Seventh Day Adventist Church, Dr. Woods and Waterworks to intersect with the road leading to the former Air Studios building and continuing eastwards to a point north eastwards of Waterworks Estate House and then north easterly to the Daly’s River watercourse”.

The main changes to Zone B are as follows:

All that area south and west of a line running from a point commencing at the most westerly point of Old Road Bluff and running south east to the south of the junction of Redonda Circle and Old Tone Bluff Drive, continuing south east through to Saddleback Road to immediately south of the junction of Bishop View Road and South Lime Kiln Road.
