Lucky Horseshoe & “Jump” Out First For Kadooment once again
Eager to get the ball rolling this year and start the 2011 Crop Over season with a bang, Lucky Horseshoe and Jump were first out of the blocks with last Friday’s launch of their Kadooment Band “Pride”.
Featuring five colourful sections, this year’s theme focuses on showcasing the “Pride of Barbados”, depicting the essence of the “Coat of Arms” and its elements, cleverly and creatively brought to life by designer, Renee Ratcliffe.
Revellers can choose from the sections Allegiance, Pride of Barbados, Dexter, Sinister, and St. Andrews, and enjoy packages inclusive of champagne breakfast, tasty lunch, premium drinks, and VIP Truck.
Paul Johnson, President of Pauls Enterprises Limited (PEL), owners and operators of Lucky Horseshoe restaurants and Jump Kadooment Band 2011 said a push was made this year to ensure the band’s loyal supporters could begin planning for this year’s jump in earnest:
“We had a fabulous response last year with sections of the band selling out in a matter of days. As a result, we wanted to launch as early as possible this year in an effort to give more persons the opportunity to sign up, and our Jump team enough time to meet the growing demand. We would like to thank our sponsors, Mount Gay Rum, Banks, Do It Best, Digicel, and Purity Bakery and look forward to a fantastic time on the road this year.”
In the lead up to Kadooment Day on August 1, 2011, Lucky Horseshoe and Jump will be hosting “Pride” Band Limes each and every Thursday from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. at Paulo’s Churrasco do Brasil Car Park in the Gap.
Additionally, returning band members who bring along a friend to sign up for the first time this year will be given an automatic upgrade to the Premium drinks package on Kadooment Day.
