Dear Colleagues,

Who Is Looking out for the Interests of  We the People?

Citizens in Defence of Grenada’s Lands and Heritage is very disappointed that the trend of alienating and dispossessing the people of Grenada of their property and rights of access to public property continues.

Citizens in Defence of Grenada’s Lands and Heritage takes the opportunity to bring to the attention of the general public two very disturbing developments:

1.                  Extinguishing a public right of way on Quarantine Station.  It is understood this right of way has been extinguished to facilitate the construction of cottages by the principals of Mariposa Residences.

2.                  Recent(last week)  erection of signs by Port Louis on the Lagoon Park, indicating that Port Louis is laying claim to Lagoon Park.  To date, it has not been explained to the people of Grenada how Port Louis came to own three additional lots which includes the Lagoon Park and the Lagoon itself.

Some may recall the we the people first heard about  Port Louis project  plans when Mr. Peter De Savary, at one of his press conferences, grandly announced  that he was going to relocate the road to Mt. Pandy beach since it was passing through the middle of his project.  That was when we the people sat up and took note!!

The action by the National Democratic Congress administration,  extinguishing of the public right of way,  has set a very alarming precedent.  It is therefore not far-fetched that in the future, the road  to Mt. Pandy Beach could be very well be declared extinguished to facilitate Mr. De Savary’ s plans.

Gate Unlawfully Erected - Obstructing Access to a Public Right of Way to Quarantine Point

Best regards!
