April is almost halfway through as BIPA, the umbrella body for Barbadians who trusted their funds with CLICO and British-American Insurance, await for both of the CL Financial subsidiaries to come under judicial management – which was recently adjourned to next month…

Douglas Skeete updating BIPA members of what Judicial Mgmt. is taking place with both BAICO & CLICO

According to noted actuarial expert Douglas Skeete, there has been a selection made as to which firm will be assessing the formerly hot investment tickets {CLICK ON FOLLOWING LINK FOR FULL AUDIO};-

He urged BIPA members to seek settlement or judgment in their favour as quickly as possible – he indicated KPMG Peat-Marwick is handling BA’s Judicial Mgmt. while Deloitte & Touche have been selected as CLICO Barbados’s Mgmt. nevertheless the caseload for the Bajan courts are heavy, so it is in the group’s interests to see this suit stays on the front-burner!

British-American is under Judicial Management, while CLICO Barbados’s affairs continue to hang in the balance, he suggested to the B’dos Investors & Policyholders Assoc. they should consider initiating protest action and this met with resounding approval.

40 to 50 people saw the Ad about the meeting in the Nation, no one saw an E-mail Blast, two saw the Notice in Barbados Today, about five saw it in Facebook and SEVEN saw the Notice and Press Release in The BAJAN REPORTER!
