I think social media is finally reaching bastions of Barbadian society at the correct levels – years after warned of attacks in St Peter from “” when the late PM Thompson denied it yet Trip Advisor and similar tourism discussion fora acknowledged and warned thereof, and the carrying repeated warnings of carjackings at various points around the island? Police finally clamp down and actually make a breakthrough, hopefully it won’t stop at this isolated incident since all reports indicate these incidents have accomplices as in opposite to singular?

Shawn Pearson Williams, 30 yrs, of Boscobelle, St. Peter was arrested and charged that he on 5th April 2011, without lawful authority, harassed Dean Weekes while at Boscobel, St. Peter.
The accused was at Bobby Johnny Corner in Boscobel when the complainant and his wife, both visitors, travelled along Boscobel Road in their hired vehicle. As they approached the corner they stopped behind another car and the Williams apparently forced himself into the vehicle.
Police are concerned with a trend that has developed, where persons have been willing to assist visitors in giving them directions, but are also demanding a fee.
Williams appeared at the Holetown Magistrate Court Wednesday April 6, 2011, and was remanded.
