Butterfield Bank Brings Cheer Into The Life Of Big Apple Winner
Butterfield has provided one worthy gentlemen with a start to the year he will always remember through its “Collect Your Apple From The Big Apple” promotion.
Mr. Dudley Mayers is going to the “Big Apple”, New York City, having been chosen from among hundreds of Butterfield customers who participated in the November 14, 2010 to January 21, 2011 promotion.
When informed of his prize, which includes air travel and accommodation for two to New York City for a four night stay, plus US$1,000 spending money, Mr. Mayers could not contain his elation:
“This could not have come at a better time for me. Last year I lost my home during the passing of Hurricane Tomas, and since then I have been moving from house to house, hotel to hotel, room to room, with the assistance of the Government. This has been a difficult time for me and at the start of year I asked God for a better 2011. Little did I know he would be sending me on a vacation, and I am truly grateful for this opportunity and would like to express my gratitude to Butterfield.”
Marketing Officer at Butterfield, Nicola Greaves, said the competition was well received by their customers:
“We saw an increase in Credit and Debit Card transactions, indicating persons were seeking to give themselves as many chances as possible to win. However, there could only be one grand prize winner, and we think Mr. Mayers is certainly deserving of it, and wish him an enjoyable and relaxing break from his usual schedule.”

In addition to the travel, accommodation and spending money prize Mr. Mayers was also presented with an Apple iPad, a popular tablet computer used widely for music, movies and other audio-visual applications.
Seven other winners were also acknowledged in the “Collect Your Apple From The Big Apple” promotion and were also presented with Apple iPads.
