Multi-million dollar agreement inked between the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States and the US Embassy

USAID Senior Deputy Assistant Administrator for Latin America and the Caribbean, Mr. Paul Weisenfeld, successfully reached an accord with the OECS Commission Director-General Dr. Len Ishmael as both officials put pen to a $2.5 million agreement with the OECS in St. Lucia.

The project will support initiatives on coastal/marine zone management and freshwater resources management, and create an environment for reducing vulnerability to climate change.

It will be supported by appropriate public awareness and education program to raise the level of awareness on climate change and steps being taken to address or reduce impacts across the region.
