BAJAN CUSS OUT: The Best of Barbados? WARNING – LANGUAGE, PG 13
What is worse, that hundreds of Bajans watched and ENJOYED this? Or that one bored Bajan could sit down and feel this was the best way to while their time? I see Chefette was referred to in this, I wonder how they feel about their name dragged into so much filthy language?
This is not the first time I have brought up the topic of Language, while I believe in Free Speech, this does not mean you have the right to use words which could make even the Oistins Fish Market blush… The price of Freedom, as a late USA leader once pointed out, is Eternal Vigilance – so cursing in a Spoken Word poetry contest especially when children are present is too far! Yet I am a Colonial who wants only the Queen’s English – is it any wonder my reviews of Spoekn Word are few and far between?
All they want to hear is how good they were, anything else is bare treason or heresy and not worth considering, when I can get a Spoken Wordist twice harass me on my cellphone and threaten to sue then deny it when confronted with it on Facebook – then you know to let them meander of into their verbal masturbation (That is why I have a lot of Audio & Video on my site now, mainly to verify parties made statements which they may later attempt to deny) and I go my way doing analysis which pisses off other parties who may or may NOT be more democratic about it? Protesters may have gotten “Black Swan” to show but now they need to take the energy and get Freedom of Expression in all its parameters dealt with ASAP!
