Police of Barbados offer reward for Crawford’s Recapture – also: Blenheim shooting incident scares students & Body found near Lazaretto
A reward of $5,000.00 dollars is being offered to any person who provides information leading to the apprehension of Derick David Rudolph Crawford, 45 years of # 12 Lakes Close, Eden Lodge, St. Michael.
Derick Crawford is wanted in connection with several serious criminal matters. He is approximately 5’ 8” tall, stout built, black complexion, bulbous nose with small flat ears, small lips and wide set eyes.
RE: SHOOTING INCIDENT NEAR BLENHEIM PLAYING FIELD
On Tuesday 11th January 2011, a shooting incident occurred about 10:40 am in a track to the western end of Blenheim Playing Field, My Lords Hill, St. Michael. As a result Nicky Boyce, 23 years of Skeetes Road, Ivy, St. Michael, received gunshot injuries to his right hand and to his lower back by an assailant. He is currently at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital receiving treatment for his injuries.
At the time of the incident, about 150 students of the Springer Memorial School and three teachers were on the playing field. On hearing the gunshots, the teachers instructed the children to lay flat on the ground. According to confirmed reports, the children remained safe.
BODY OF A MAN FOUND
Police are also seeking the assistance of the public in locating the family of a man whose body was discovered on a grassy area at Warmer Lodge, St. Michael, next to the Lazaretta, on Tuesday 11th January 12, 2011 at 2:00 pm. The man carried a small blue and grey shoulder bag in which a Barbados Identification Card was found, bearing his image and the name BRUCE PATTERSON MASSIAH. He was 71 years of age.
The body was clad in a red tee shirt and black ‘Rossi’ short pants, with a black baseball cap. He had gold capped teeth to the front upper row of his mouth.
