Barbados Police make number of Arrests in “Red Sea” Operation as two males go Missing

Members of the SSU, Drug Squad, and the Traffic Branch conducted a joint operation at the Deacons Road community known as the ‘Red Sea’ on Saturday 22nd January 2011 and 5 persons were arrested.

They are:
1. Shem Attiba Lewellyn Cummins 19 years of Neptune Road, Deacons Farm, St. Michael;
2. Katani Jalani Emmanuel Callender, 21 years and
3. Akeil Hezekiah Callender, 22 years of Sunnyside Court, of Sunnyside Court, Deacons Farm, St. Michael;

These persons were jointly charged for illegal possession of one .25 handgun and 10 rounds of ammunition – they are set to re-appear in District “A” Magistrate’s Court by 21st February 2011.

4. Sandy Keisha Pitt, 32 years of Bush Hall, St. Michael, for the offence of assaulting a police officer in the execution of his duty;
5. Cheri Alisa Pitt, also of Bush Hall, St. Michael, was arrested and charged for:

  • Failing to move and keep moving
  • Armed with a weapon adapted to cause injury
  • Assaulting a police officer in the execution of his duty
  • Resisting a police officer.

Sandy Pitt is out on $750 bail with one (1) surety; while Cheri is on $1,500 bail and one (1) surety, both are due to re-appear in the District “A” Magistrate’s Court by 19th May 2011.

On Thursday 20th January 2011, the nude body of a man was found floating at sea off Enterprise Beach, Christ Church. The body has a ‘dread-locks’ hairstyle. A pair of black pants was found nearby.

Description: Rommel is 5’9” tall, of medium build, of black complexion. He has a black short hair style, long face; small dark brown eyes, and his ears are pierced twice. {SEE BELOW ITEM}

The Royal Barbados Police Force is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing man. He is Rommel Lindo MARTINDALE, 28 years of Bridge Gap, Carrington Village, St. Michael. He was last seen on the 4th January 2010 about 11:00 am at his home.

Anyone who may have information as to the whereabouts of Rommel Martindale is asked to contact the nearest police station or emergency number 211.

Description - Ivan King is about 5’ 2” tall, slim build, dark brown complexion, and is clean shaven. He has grey hair, a short neck and has no teeth. He has brown eyes and has poor vision; he speaks with a soft voice and has a pleasant personality. He suffers from senility. {SEE BELOW ITEM}

{REPEAT} The Royal Barbados Police Force is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing man. He is Ivan KING, 83 years of Jackman Alley, Orange Hill, St. James. He was last seen about 7.00 pm on Tuesday 3rd of January 2011, at Orange Hill, St. James, and has not been seen or heard from since.

At the time he was wearing a blue armhole shirt, a long jeans pants and green and black softwears.

Anyone who may have information as to the whereabouts of Ivan KING, is asked to contact the nearest police station or emergency number 211.

  • Police are also seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing man. He is John Anderson SMALL, 40 years of Railway Road, Carrington Village, St. Michael. He was last seen 11th January 2011 at Martindale’s Road, St. Michael, and has not been seen or heard from since.

At the time he was wearing a grey tee shirt, and black short pants.

Description – John is about 6 feet tall, of dark complexion, wears short dreadlocks hairstyle and his ears are pierced once. He frequents the Carrington Village community.

Anyone who may have information as to the whereabouts of John Small is asked to contact the nearest police station or emergency number 211.
