League of Young Socialists Meet Thursday 25 Nov 2010, 7:00 PM at Harrison College
As we are all very aware, it’s is a rough time for Barbados, many Bajans are now at their limit. Many young people in this country who are 26-years-old and under, have therefore, never seen their parents struggle. The reality of too many young people is that they are now forced to watch helplessly as their parents cry themselves to sleep at night, wondering which bill to pay and how they will make ends meet and survive.
Please take note that the monthly General Meeting of the League of Young Socialist (LYS) will be held (Thursday, 25th November 2010) in the Lecture Room, at Harrison College, from 7:00 p.m.
At this meeting, the League will be presented with a report. There will also be a panel discussion on the 2010 budget. The League anticipates a strong show of support from young people from across barbados as well as from the BLP.
These are therefore young people on a mission and doing positive things. They have a unique perspective on issues and a remarkable story to tell. Come and have a serious (one-on-one; face-to-face) conversation with them
and hear their perspective on issues that are affecting them and which they care about!! Thursday, Novembers 25th, 2010, the Lecture Room at Harrison College: 7:00 p.m.
By the way, doesn’t the present Government have a Youth Manifesto – what became of it? We are therefore looking forward to seeing you to discuss this important topic. Please invite a guest and pass this on to those you care about.
“Young people! You are not bellyaching, we are listening, we can hear you and want to act on your concerns.”
