Barbados Water Authority seals burst mains in St Michael, St Andrew and St Philip while St John residents continue to endure tough times in the midst of overflowing rain

The BWA apologises for the disruptions in service and thanks you for your patience.

The Barbados Water Authority wishes to update the public on the following:

• The burst mains at Cane Garden, St. Michael, Fortescue, St. Philip and St. Simons, Seniors and Bawdens in St. Andrew have been repaired.
• The leak on the 16-inch main at the Lazaretto, St. Michael has been stopped and
• Pumping has resumed at the Hanson facility and from Golden Ridge at a reduced level.

The water from Bowmanston Pumping Station remains discoloured and so some St. John districts are still without water. The Authority will keep its tankers in the field to assist the affected customers until around 8 o’clock tonight.

At present crews are carrying out repairs to bursts in Bartlett’s Tenantry Road in Christ Church and Walkers in St. Andrew where mains have ruptured.

The BWA apologises for the disruptions in service and thanks you for your patience.
