The President, Council and Secretariat staff of the Barbados Chamber of Commerce & Industry wish to take this opportunity to extend our deepest condolences to the family of our dear departed Prime Minister The Right Honourable David Thompson.

The nation has lost a Prime Minister and perhaps more importantly his family has lost a husband and a father.

The members of the Chamber mourn along with the rest of Barbados at this time and we pray God’s continued strength and guidance for his beloved wife Mara and daughters Mischa, Oya and Osa-Marie.

His passing has no doubt impacted upon all of us as Barbadians and he will be greatly missed.

The Chamber was honoured and fortunate to have Mr. Thompson speak at our Business luncheon each January for the last 3 years and we have long enjoyed a good relationship with him and his Cabinet.
