The Barbados Water Authority are carrying out repairs in St Philip, St Andrew & St Peter – Tankers sent to affected areas

The Barbados Water Authority informs the public that it has today Tuesday 28th September sustained a number of burst mains and is presently carrying out repairs.

These include a 4-inch burst in Long Bay Development, St. Philip, a 6-inch in Shermans, St. Peter and a 3-inch in Bawdens, St. Andrew which are affecting the immediate surrounding areas.

The Authority’s crews are also addressing a 14-inch burst main at Ashford, St. John which may cause outages to several districts including the Mount, Kendall Tenantry, Cliff Cottage, parts of Chapel, Featherbed Lane, parts of Ellerton and surrounding areas.

The Authority has dispatched water tankers to assist affected residents while repair work is conducted. Barbados Water Authority personnel are also investigating reports of a suspected burst main at Bath, St. John.
