  1. Are we so intellectually simple to read the video as promoting DV it clearly shows the dysfunctional relatioship and coupled with the lyrics and firey visuals i dont get it being a positive DVmessage at all Leave Rihanna alone

  2. I dont know man. Its not preachy but I wouldnt say its actually glorifying domestic violence. Its actually rather graphic and may make kids say whoa this is kinda messed up.

  3. When she was speaking out for the cause especially because she experienced it first hand, it was an issue for people. Now she addresses it in a comfortable way through song, people still aren’t pleased.

Think about it. She could have objected to covering the chorus of the song but since she was the face of domestic violence recently, maybe having her be a part of it was a way to bring peoples attention to this issue.

you can’t sugar coat domestic violence. people need to understand how violent it can become.

  4. Taken at literal value the song lyrics in no way seem to oppose domestic violence. With lyrics like ‘If she ever tries to f****** leave me again, I’m a tie her to the bed and set this house on fire.’ and ‘Just gonna stand there and watch me burn. But that’s all right because I like the way it hurts.’ .
