Our thanks to eagle-eyed Hallam Hope for this story – Surfer’s Point in Christ Church is a popular location for surfing, enjoying the scenery, hanging out, fishing and getting a great sea bath. But there is more than meets the eye. In order to get there safely you drive along a path which was previously clear. But watch the next photos!

Now if it’s late in the evening. Beware! Someone, legally or illegally, cemented this metal stake in the middle of the pathway. Well, if you think you can access Surfer’s Point, you might just drive over this stake unknowingly in the late afternoon and … bram, bram, something is sticking through the bottom of your car, and you become the view. The driver of an impaled car.

Here’s another viewpoint (no pun intended)! This metal stake and concrete base at Surfer’s Point waiting for that unsuspecting driver keen to catch the setting sun, or some eager lovers waiting to park out and not concentrating on the path in front of them?
