Help the Homeless” is a heartfelt plea for those who are capable of giving funds, goods or services to help get these people off the streets. Organiser Tashanna Parris is partnering with a non-profit organization, The Barbados Homeless & Vagrant Society Charity to assist with the rehabilitation and reinsertion of the homeless back into functioning society. Ms Parris is very passionate about this issue here in Barbados, across the Caribbean and World Wide. The focus on this charity is to bring awareness to that major issue greatly overlooked. Currently there are 365 homeless and vagrants across Barbados in need of our help.

The first phase of Parris’ campaign started the end of April, where we placed money cans in three hotels, Alamanda Beach Hotel, The Barbados Beach Club and The Grand Barbados Hotel. Ten more cans are to be placed in other hotels at a later date across Barbados. These cans will collect donations from these locations.
