Wine & Spirits Experts at Mount Gay Showcase: Hilton Barbados, June 2nd to 4th

A local expert and two visiting specialists will headline the Brand Showcase hosted by Mount Gay Distilleries scheduled from June 2 – 4, 2010 at Hilton Barbados.

Mr. Chesterfield Browne, International Brand Ambassador & Mixologist for Mount Gay Rums, Mr. Patrick Mariuz, Rémy Martin International Ambassador, and Mr. Joe Cabassa, Brand Ambassador for Pernod Ricard will share their immense knowledge of the wines and spirits industry with Mount Gay Distilleries staff and attendees of the three day premium Showcase which is in its second year.

Chesterfield Browne joined the Mount Gay family in 1994 as a bartender at the Mount Gay Rum Visitors Centre, but he quickly climbed the corporate ladder leading to his current position as International Brand Ambassador & Mixologist where he travels the world promoting Mount Gay Rum, the rum that invented rum:

Browne has conducted master classes in England, Canada, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, USA and the Caribbean; he was voted best mixologist at “A Taste of the Caribbean”, in Montreal, Canada in 2007, and participated as a judge at last year’s UK Rumfest in London, England. The proud Ambassador has also represented Barbados at many events throughout the world on behalf of the Barbados Tourism Authority.

Mr. Patrick Maruiz joined Rémy Martin at a young age and enriched his knowledge of cognacs in collaboration with the members of the Cellar master’s team.

He was appointed as International Ambassador reporting to the Director of Rémy Martin cognacs and estates in 1989, and has been transmitting his passion for the Rémy Martin cognacs to clients from the world over, through training and tasting sessions.
