In recognition of this talent, BEAT|records has created an exciting opportunity in the form of a talent search web-show.

BEAT|oneThe Search” begins with an island-wide casting call for females 12 and up. Two winners will be featured on a compilation CD with a remarkable lineup of well respected Barbadian female vocalists, including Tamara Marshall, Marisa Lindsay, Paula Hinds, Carole George, Rosie Hunte, Jan Gibson, iNDRANi and Mahalia Phillips – who will all be performing original material, primarily written for this album.

Auditions will be performed in front of recording artist and vocal coach, Marisa Lindsay as well as singer/songwriter and producer, Tamara Marshall.

According to Tamara, her goal is “to empower and uplift the undiscovered talent in Barbados”.

While, Marisa Lindsay, sees this project as an opportunity to “nurture new talent and raise vocal warriors”.

Tamara Marshall and Marisa Lindsay have come together to create BEAT|records. As a vocal coach, Marisa Lindsay has prepared many of her students for successful careers in the music industry; some of her students include Mahalia Phillips and Livvi Franc.

The vision for this multi-faceted project is to bring forth two new authentic artists and provide them with a platform to gain immediate experience as performers and recording artist.
