Barbados’ first Road Atlas help International Rally Crews Discover More
Visiting international driving crews in the Sol Rally Barbados 2010 will now be able to navigate their way around Barbados with ease. Skyviews Caribbean Ltd. have donated copies of the new Skyviews Atlas Barbados to each of the international driving crews in the Rally to help them find their way around Barbados during their stay. Using the unique satellite imagery contained in the Atlas, they will be able to locate any street or district in the country by name, locate any road network, view home roof tops and land use with amazing accuracy using the satellite photo maps.
Jessica Bensley, Managing Director, Skyviews Caribbean Limited, publishers of the Barbados Atlas explained, “The international driving crews will find it a breeze to navigate around Barbados using the Atlas – it’s in a format they’re used to, and it will provide them with lots of great info on what to do and, most importantly exactly where to find it! Barbados has the most dense road network in the Western Hemisphere, and yet the Atlas is both comprehensive and easy to use.” Users will find over 250 local businesses precisely located in the Atlas’ map section and in the Atlas’ Business Directory too covering accommodation & Real Estate, activities, restaurants & nightlife, shopping plus an extensive Services section.
The Skyviews Atlas Barbados team, along with the Atlas, attended the Simpson Motors scrutineering at the Sol Rally Barbados 2010 in Warrens.
The Atlas took approximately four years to research and complete and will be reprinted in 2011. It is presently available for sale in over 100 retail outlets on the island including major book stores and online through www.atlasbarbados.com. Distribution channels are currently being negotiated for New York, Miami, Toronto and London book stores.
