Week of Celebrating French Language – Poetry slam/Open Mic, March 23

Alliance Française of Bridgetown will have their poetry slam open mic on Tuesday, March 23rd! It starts at 7:30pm at the Bump and Wine Cafe, with Mahalia and then we will have a French-speaking poet from Congo, Nlandu Mamingi. Then, the open mic session, but in English, French, Spanish, and even Creole.

People are also invited to send their entries to info@afbridgetown.org (short prose or poetry texts, photos, drawings, any artwork on the theme of francophone cultures, or the Ten Words/Dix mots de la francophonie 2010, based on the theme of the movement and the capacity of languages to evolve)

Folks are also invited to visit a new special website made by the Alliances Françaises for the Ten Words 2010, http://www.af-culture.org/: you can register your entries by clicking on “Entrer” and then on “Participer“. Your work will appear later on the map “Cartographie!
