UKTI London Delegation on a Five day visit to Barbados, Dover Beach Convention Centre

An 11- member trade mission delegation from Britain will visit Barbados from 3 – 7 March 2010, the second stop in a three-country tour, they began in Trinidad and Tobago and will conclude with Jamaica (7 – 10 March).

The mission has been organised by UK Trade & Investment, London and is part financed by the European Regional Development Fund. UK Trade & Investment is the international arm of Business Innovation and Skills, a Government department responsible for assisting small to medium sized companies to expand their businesses overseas.

The mission leaders will be Paolo Di Brina, Trade and Development Adviser and Elaine Cameron, International Trade Adviser.

The British High Commission has organised a Business Drop-in-Session for members of the business community, entrepreneurs and Government officials to meet with members of the delegation at the Dover Beach Hotel on Thursday, 04 March 2010 between 9:00 am and 12:00 noon.

The companies represented offer an interesting array of products and services. These include:- finance and investments, construction, solar street lighting, fabric design, menswear, education and education supplies, legal services, youth sports programmes (basketball in particular), sexual health awareness, printing services and promotional gifts to name just a few.

Following the Drop-in-Session, members of the delegation will pursue individual appointments.
