Oh Baby, Female pair nabbed with Ganja on Hispaniola: Diaper Rash? Marijuana, not diapers
The Dominican Republic’s Army Intelligence Department (G2) accused 2 women of possession of marijuana.
The women were traveling from Dajabon, on the border with Haiti, to Santiago. One of the women, Marileidy Felipe Mendoza was traveling with a baby. The marijuana was concealed in a package of disposable baby diapers.
Mendoza and Awilda Yissel Fortuna were traveling from Dajabon to Santiago on the Expreso Liniero route. Army members detected the drug at the checkpoint known as El Puente.
The agents confiscated 3 packs of marijuana weighing about 6 pounds that appeared to be disposable diapers they were carrying in their bags, among baby clothes.
The women were arrested and sent to the National Drug Control Department office in Montecristi.
