Bajans, bring your Old Documents and Ancient Paintings; NAGC Art Conservation Open Day – Saturday February 27th 2010
The National Art Gallery Committee (NAGC) will hold an Art Conservation Open Day Saturday February 27th 2010 between 10am and 5pm at the Barbados Museum, The Garrison, St. Michael.
The public is invited to visit with paintings and works-on-paper conservators Lidia Aravena and Luis Larrazabal to observe conservation techniques for paintings, maps and old photographs, ask advice on care of your personal treasures, to help you create longer lasting artwork and find out about conservation as a career
Open day will be of special interest to visual artists, collectors, art students and art lovers.
NO private conservation will be performed. Limited seating is available on a first come first served basis and closed 1pm – 2pm for lunch.
